About the program
Working to rebalance the discordant relationship our culture perpetuates between mind and body, this 5-week program is targeted at beginner level students and designed to foster a greater sense of awareness, curiosity, and compassion about the conversations we keep with our bodies. Through group-based work, the goal is to teach emotional and physical regulation skills with the help of evidence-based psychotherapeutic practices and the ancient wisdom of Yoga. Let’s start rewriting the narratives that inform our belief systems about our worth.

About Me
Hi, I’m Karly, founder of The compassionate warrior project
I have been working as a psychotherapist for over a decade in schools, hospitals, and private practice. I started practicing yoga for myself about ten years ago and immediately fell in love with this ancient movement that (after a lot of time!) stilled my mind and offered the incredible experience of being sincerely present, aware, and reverent in my body. After so much work with individuals struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, self-injury, and mood disorders, I saw an incredible opportunity to bridge the experiences we have in our bodies moving and how we think and feel about ourselves. The more I practiced, the stronger my desire to become certified to teach became. In doing so, it is this powerful experience and wisdom that I hope to share with the emerging women I have come to love working with as a therapist.
