In an effort to realign the dissonance perpetuated by our culture between mind and body, this 5-week program is tailored for beginners, aiming to cultivate awareness, curiosity, and compassion within ourselves. Through collaborative group sessions, our objective is to introduce emotional and physical regulation skills using evidence-based psychotherapy tools and the ancient wisdom of Yoga. Together, let’s embark on rewriting the narratives that shape our perceptions of self-worth.
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
– The Bhagavad Gita

Meet the Founder
I’m Karly, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I’ve had the privilege working as a psychotherapist for over a decade across settings like schools, hospitals, and private practice. It is an honor to sit alongside families, couples, and individuals during nearly every life stage, challenge, and celebration and I never cease to admire the strength and resilience of my clients who courageously let me into their lives on a journey to better themselves.
About ten years ago, I discovered yoga, and its ancient wisdom quickly captivated me. As someone who loves moving and being busy the challenge of slow, patient, present movement was both difficult and immensely rewarding. I find a practice of intentionally slowing our minds and bodies to be an imperative one in our current culture. Through a dedicated practice, Yoga continues to be a transformative place to greet and listen to myself on a regular basis. Having supported individuals dealing with various challenges—eating disorders, anxiety, body image issues, self-injury, depression, difficult transitions, etc.—I recognized the potential to integrate these movement experiences with therapeutic skills. This goal fueled my desire to pursue a yoga teaching certification so that I can offer the tranquility and profound sense of peace and awareness in our bodies that Yoga allows. I hope to offer a sense of embodiment and empowerment for those who have felt at odds in their bodies. Now I hope to facilitate journeys of transformation for individuals, blending my expertise in therapy with the profound insights of yoga both on and off of the mat.
